Notre-Dame

About This Puzzle

• Take a trip to Paris, the City of Light, one piece at a time, with Maximilien Luce's Notre-Dame de Paris (1900).

The cathedral's towers and south facade catch the waning golden-hour light, but this is also a portrait of Paris and its people: crowds pass along the Quai Saint-Michel, drive horse-drawn carriages and work the dredging barges of the Seine. Luce painted more than a dozen versions of this view, and this one sold at auction in 2011 for more than $4 million. A luxury puzzle to gather family and friends around.
